About Dr. Matthew Sam
Dr. Sam is double boarded in Emergency Medicine and Family Medicine and is a member of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery and The American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery. He has been performing cosmetic surgical procedures, treating patients in the emergency room, and performing hair transplants for over 20 years.

Dr. Sam’s enthusiasm and search for using the best technology has led him to the ARTAS IX hair restoration system and the neograft advanced FUE system. Technology which has changed the way hair transplantation is performed today. These devices and others allow follicular unit hair extraction to be precise, accurate and gives his patients the best, most natural hair results.
Dr. Sam immigrated from war torn Cambodia with his family to Tulsa, Oklahoma where he was an Emergency Medical Technician in High School and attended the University of Tulsa on scholarship. He then obtained his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine and completed his residency training at the University of Florida in Family Medicine. Always seeking new knowledge he then completed a fellowship in Emergency Medicine at the University of Tennessee in Memphis.
Despite 20 years working in the ER, cosmetic procedures have always been Dr. Sam’s focus and hair restoration, his passion since his first graft placement. He has now dedicated his present and future medical career in bringing the best and most innovative hair restoration technique and procedure to his patients at Alpha Male, making it the premier location for Hair Restoration in Houston.
